Meet our new service dog Boris, in memory of Captain David Boris of Pottsville, PA

Our latest service dog sponsored through Tails of Valor, Boris, is named in loving memory of Captain David Boris of Pottsville, PA. Dave died bravely on November 12, 2007 in Bermel, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when the vehicle he was in was struck by an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, Schweinfurt, Germany.  He was survived by his wife, Jaime, of eight years, his parents, sister, brother-in-law, nephew, and niece.

The sponsoring of Boris was aided by a very humbling donation given by Mark and Roza Romanowski of Washington Crossing, PA. Their donation was made in memory of their beautiful daughter, Mila Ruth, who was born sleeping. Mark and Roza, we thank you for remembering, and we are touched by your contribution toward this cause in memory of Mila.
